SAFETY PROGRAM OVERVIEW


POLICIES & PROCEDURES

Develop and administer policies and procedures
Review safety related activities to remain current
Develop, write and issue updated plans and programs
Monitor general safety performance
Teach safety policies and procedures
Communicating safety to all personnel
Promote involvement from all levels of employees
Daily and weekly inspection of equipment for proper and safe operation
High-level management participation

TRAINING AND EDUCATION     

Plan and manage monthly scheduled safety training sessions
Coordinate Tailgate safety meetings, morning safety meetings
Develop training requirements specifics
Determine annual training requirements per regulations
Procure and maintain training materials
Conduct training courses
Measure effectiveness of training courses for continuous improvement

 DOCUMENTATION

Track safety requirements for all personnel
Record history of training programs
Documentation for OSHA logs
Documentation of Safety committee meetings

PROMOTION AND MOTIVATION

Promote incentive program
Encourage daily safety at work and at home, business and professional
Promote behavioral improvements through positive reinforcement
Encourage daily safety habits through short morning safety sessions

 RETURN TO WORK PROGRAM

Development of a RTW program is in process

 ACCIDENT/INCIDENT INFORMATION AND ANALYSIS
Safety committee meeting held within 24 hours to discuss any of the following:
            Accidents
            Incidents
            Near misses
            Unsafe acts
            Unsafe conditions
            Unsafe work procedures
Determine best practice to avoiding any further incidents, etc.
Review of training procedures to insure best practice
Corrective action recommendations and implementation
Provide additional training as necessary
Reports to management
